Anzac Day
Once again, our school actively participated in the many events leading up to and including the ANZAC Day Edmonton Commemorative Service March to Fuller Park.
The first week begun with the students joining in our school liturgy on Tuesday lead by Mrs Jackson. Under the guidance of Mrs Eddy our Defence Force School Coordinator and Mrs Burnett, provided an opportunity for our students to pay their respects through prayer and the placement of our wooden crosses at the front of the school. These crosses represent war graves and memorials where Australian servicemen and women are buried in countries such as Turkey, France, Belgium, Malaysia, Singapore, Greece, South Africa and the Middle East.
Additionally, our students actively participated in the laying of wreaths at the ANZAC dawn service on the Esplanade and at Fuller park.
